Summary
This is a responsible position providing overall coordination of the Racial and Ethnic Approaches (REACH) Program, including planning to meet program objectives; developing and implementing the Work Plan; supervising program staff; monitoring program activities to ensure the program meets its annual and project period objectives and is compliant with cooperative agreement requirements; coordinating the program with other aspects of The Wellness Coalition’s programs, developing reports, interacting with the Project Officer, community partners, and media, and otherwise representing The Wellness Coalition and the REACH program in the community, managing the REACH Advisory Council, and other activities to ensure the REACH program success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall management of all aspects of the REACH program including monitoring of implementation of grant goals, objectives, and activities work plan, documentation, reporting and accountability to funding sources.
- Implement community development activities to generate interest in community-wide, evidence-based public health programs outlined in the Work Plan throughout the River Region.
- Develop and mobilize community partnerships, collaboration and leveraging of resources.
- Serve as liaison with River Region Obesity Task Force personnel for marketing and community development campaign activities, pulling in other REACH team members as needed.
- Supervise and provide leadership to the REACH Community Liaisons and contracted Sub-recipients.
- Maintain and review employee performance, workplan action timetable, and data related to productivity and performance evaluation, responding as appropriate.
- Provide/arrange training and professional development for REACH staff, partners and volunteers.
- Obtain input from REACH team members and prepare the monthly, bi-annual and annual progress reports, as well as other reports and presentations as needed.
- Ensure data are available for preparation of REACH Evaluation reports
- Develop and implement REACH Sustainability Plan and activities.
- Assist with completion of REACH-related grant applications.
- Assist Executive Director and other TWC staff with any other functions that are required.
Qualifications
Individual must have a solid combination of training, knowledge, and experience in health program/project management/implementation/ marketing, public relations, human resources and grants management. This individual must be skilled in verbal and written communication, well organized, computer literate and capable of managing a variety of activities/projects. Must have supervisory experience, and must be able to perform in a high stress environment. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in public health, health or public administration or other health related field is required. Supervisory experience is required. Experience in marketing, public relations, and grants writing and grants management is preferred.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $54,000.00 per year
