The Wellness Coalition (TWC) held its second annual Tour of Wellness community health fair series in Montgomery on May 20, 2023 at Chisholm Community Center. The free event helped TWC and our partners provide access to health and wellness services to more than 180 attendees, 22 of whom received a COVID-19 vaccine on-site. Additionally:
- The first 75 attendees received a door prize.
- 13 more prizes were distributed via raffle.
- Three more prizes were given to the top three participants of the scavenger hunt.
A Wide Array of Vendors and Services
TWC was joined by more than 20 vendors, including partner agencies and organizations, as well as COVID-19 booster provider, iKare Pharmacy. TWC also launched our new pop-up Baby Café, where families can enjoy a safe space to talk and learn about breastfeeding, their rights related to breastfeeding, and more.
“The primary purpose of The Wellness Coalition is to bring community organizations together to collaborate and to increase access to healthcare services for people with little or no insurance, and who are most at risk of chronic disease,” said Ghandi Daniels, executive director of The Wellness Coalition. “Together, we can make real change in the lives of our friends and neighbors.”
